service members have been killed in two separate attacks in eastern afghanistan. three troops died of a roadside bomb went off. fourth soldier died in a separate insurgent attack. it's not clear if any of the troops were americans. the latest round of violence brings the death toll to nine coalition troops within the last month. another fox news alert, the mexican navy says it plans to extend the search for seven missing u.s. tourists today. they disappeared early yesterday when a fishing boat capsized in the gulf of california at least one of the 27 americans on board was killed. the boat carrying a total of 44 passengers and crew members appears to have been hit by two massive waves. there's still hope they could be alive. witnesses report some had been wearing life jackets. in just about two hours, 2 1/2 hours, the jury will resume deliberations in the casey anthony murder trial. the jury got the case yesterday afternoon after hearing a final rebuttal from prosecutors arguing that anthony killed her daughter caylee. >> as the facts and circumstances changed over the course of ti

violence in afghanistan. this is a struggle for the rule of law. >> telemundo is live in mexico city. this is still a violence that is shocking by recent standards. what is the reaction in mexico? >> richard, people in mexico is worried by this violence. in monterrey, a group of gunmen entered the bar on friday and killed 20 people. everybody could have been inside the bar and imagine having a good time and suddenly a group of men entered and kill 20 people in the place. people are worried and -- because they've been listening to it for more than five years now. in mexico city on friday, 11 bodies were found piled in the outside of the city and ten more pooem found and others close to the border found on the streets. yeah, this is shocking news. and in one of the statistics that we often forget, 40,000 dead in those five years related to drug violence. how are mexicans reacting to what the government is doing and its efforts? >> well, the last survey said that 60% of new mexicans said that the president is losing this war on drugs. they believe this war should stop. they want to get

panetta is touring afghanistan this morning. he says the u.s. is within reach of defeating al-qaeda. however, a sign that the war is not over, an afghan guard today killed two nato soldiers and wounded another. that shooting happened in the province about 62 miles north of kabul. the guard was standing outside his home when a nato cop soy passed by. he stopped them and started arguing, and then opened fire. they gunned down three service members before getting shot and killed. no word yet on the national a little of the troops. >>> the military is now going to begin accepting applications from individuals openly gay. the pentagon sent out a notice yesterday that it's ending "don't ask, don't tell." that memo comes after the federal appeals court in san francisco ruled the pentagon must stop enforcing that controversial policy. house republicans made a last- ditch effort yesterday to slow down the elimination of the ban on openly gay service members, blocking funds. but that measure is not expected to pass the senate. >>> in iowa, a conservative christian group is now calling o
